It happened yesterday, in Lisbon, and it was literally EPIC! Jennifer Lopez @ Lisbon, where it was also the filming location for her new Live DVD, and I was there! I won't talk much about it, not only because it left me speechless but because the images speak for themselves.

Obviously I did not take my camera with me, I never do for live shows. I go to live shows to enjoy every second of it, a 100%. Bringing the camera with me cuts that excitement and the joy and thrill. And besides, there's pictures all over the Internet, and videos and everything! I just took this webcam snapshot before leaving home, with the golden ticket hehe

Jen is the bomb. I wish I look that good when I reach my 43 years old.

Phantom

This was made for a contest in a DeviartArt.com group, with the theme "Behind the Mask" and so I thought it would be really cool do something diferent, without the usual and ordinary masks we are all used to, like the venetian ones. My main thought was the Phantom of the Opera mask! Of course! So I ordered the mask from eBay (it only cost me 1€, I swear... see how amazing eBay is?) and did this portrait.

The thing I notice everytime I post something online, is the feedback, whether is from Likes and comments on Facebook, Favourites and comments on DeviartArt, or Flickr, or whatever. This particular one didn't have as much feedback as my other work. I'm not complaining, it's just that I absolutetly loved doing this and I honestly think I did a pretty good job, trying to use Fine Art again. I don't know... what matters is our satisfaction with out work, right? =)

Diana Esteves

Last sunny Sunday I had a wonderfull photoshoot with the lovely Diana. Diana asked me to take her picture sometime, and obviously... why not? Here's the result of a well spent afternoon. The lightning was perfect and the mood even better. Enjoy!

New favourite

As a result of experimenting new fine art techniques, this turned out to be my latest favourite portrait/work of all time. It's been a while since I felt the safisfaction of the instant result as I was editing. It took me approximately 2 and a half hours on the digital processing and I couldn't feel happier about it. "The Catalyst" from Linkin Park helped me a lot when it comes to inspiration and, pardon my modesty, I think I did a pretty good job.

Fine Art

I've always been a fan of conceptual Fine Art. Since ever I steped into the photography-land that I felt amazed by watching fine art masterpieces. I want to get more into it, and produce more fine art pieces. It's hard because it takes a lot of time, willing and patience to come out with a good photo. Fine art is the balance between the photograph and the photographer's creative point of view, his world. 

So the other day I tried to push myself a bit further when it comes to experimenting fine art photography and came out with my Buterfly portrait. It surely took me a lot more time to get it done than the regular portraits I am used to, but I think it was worth it, and I can't wait to try something similar again.

Croatia - Plitvice Lakes

The Plitvice Lakes... we wanted to see it so bad! But there wasn't anymore english tours so we had to take a russian tour. Imagine how fun it was! hehe The tour guy was awesome, he wasn't even supposed to translate anything to us but he was kind enough to do so. He said he wanted to practice his english skills. =D

About this magical place: It's BEAUTIFUL! I never thought it would be that gorgeous but once we got there I could only think that it was so worth the 558Kn I paid, wich is practicly 80 euros. It is beyond words, I was literally speechless. For some reason it reminded me of the Pocahontas movie, because it was so untouchable, so pure, the waters flowing... I don't know, I kept having the Pocahontas song "Just around the riverbend", because you never know what's next. When we thought it couldn't be better... Bang! Another breathtaking lake/waterfall.

We were ready to swim but when the guide told us we couldn't, it was a little disapointing, and when we got there we obviously understood why... It just had to be untouchable to keep that natural state. So it was ok.

Huge waterfalls and water so crystal clear that we could see the bottom, and I've never in my life seen a lake or a river so clear as those waters. I never thought that it could ever exist such a river or lake like that.

There was this part where we would take a ferry boat to go to another side, and literally it was silent. People didn't say a word because it was so unrealistic that everyone was amazed by it. It was even emotional, no joke. But I'm such a sugar heart, I melt with anything beautiful and romantic and whatsoever lol.

The only thing that screwed things up for me was that my battery died! And I forgot the other charged one at home! How can that be possible?! So for 5-10 minutes I was really upset, I wanted to punch everyone in the face! It was almost in the end but whatever, I wanted it to last the whole thing. I learned my lesson...
