"I am there for spring dreaming." 30 day project

It's the first time I'm doing something like this, commiting myself to something that I enjoy and keeps me busy, somehow. At first I thought about a 1 year project, but I want to take it slowly, one step at a time. Maybe I'll do it once I get my Holga lens. So I will take a picture, everyday for 30 days in a row, with my new JOCO VX5. 

I also realized that there is not many examples online of photographs using the JOCO VX5. So one of my main goals is to show people around the world it's features and what it does and how the photos come out. Like a review. 

 I called it "I am there for spring dreaming." because while I was planning this I was listening to old school Robbie Williams, the theme "Eternity", and there's this verse when he says "You were there for summer dreaming." and it just clicked! It's been years since I've been this long in my hometown, assisting Spring's first days, yeah... I am here for spring dreaming. It might not make any sense to you, but to me it's just perfect. That's it. 

So far it's been day 3, and I'm proud of it. Besides I love the vintage effect the camera offers. Oh and I must not forget to mention that with every photo I'm adding it's own soundtrack. They both fit, and produce magic. ♥

P.S. I might start organizing my blog very soon. So if suddenly it looks awkward don't mind it, it means I'm re-designing it so it'll be easier to navigate.

Loco VS5 is here

Look what I got today!!! The new LOCO VX5, and I'm a 100% satisfied with it! It brightened up my week, even though it doesn't seem that much of a big deal Here's my new camera and a couple of shots, experimenting. Oh thank you Rock, for being an amazing model, not holding still because you wanted a piece of bread. Thank you for the love.

Upgrading

Today I got my new battery grip! And I couldn't feel more satisfied about it. It's generic, no brand associated, but is perfect. The material's texture looks exactly like the camera's texture, the holder ruber is not made of the best quality but it's good. Now shooting vertical portrait mode is a lot easier and eficient.

Me, my pjs and Nikon D80 equiped with the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8f and the battery grip.




I also purchased the Holga lens, a 60mm f/8 specially made for DSRL cameras, and I'm extremely overwhelmed about it! Finally I'll be able to produce digital pictures with that vintage taste that I love, without too much effort. It's cheap, the reviews are amazing, the results are perfect. Why not?

It's been 2 years since I meet this person, with whom I obviously fell in love. Even far away from each other, we're still growing together, we're still learning about being "us" everyday. Yes... I love this person.

I don't share much of my personal life, but the fact is today I felt the urge of sharing how much he means to me. Today I feel an ambivalente of mixed feelings. Happy for our day, sad because we're apart. Really sad in fact...

Isn't it amazing?

... When you feel good because of the positive and prosperous way your life is going? I am overwhelmed by the fact that everything is actually alright (aside from other matters that I still believe it will be fixed).
In a couple of weeks I will certainly be exposed to new experiences and learnings, and I can't wait for it. I'm talking about progressing on something I love to do, something that I should put more effort into. My photography, my hobbie, my art (if anyone even consider it).

So yes. Life is good. And I'll cut someone's head off (Medieval way) if someone tries to break down this piece of mind and relaxation I'm experiencing at this point. =)

Rock, my dog went under surgery last saturday. The recovery is slow and it looks painfull... At least he still gets happy eveytime he sees me and my family. This is when we had to put the "cone of shame" around his neck.
Besides that, he's recovering quickly, thank God. =) I love my puppy ♥



lol I just waited about 5 minutes because honestly I'm so excited I don't even know how to put it in words! But Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit are performing in the SAME DAY, at Rock in Rio Lisboa. If you are wondering why am I so freaked out about it, it's because this is high-school fantasy comming true very soon! If I'm going? I'm not even thinking about it twice! =D It will be my 4th Linkin Park show, and my 2nd Limp Bizkit show. It will be once in a lifetime, and I hope I get to take the right people with me... =)
